ABOUT THIS SITE

Remon Haazen is a Dutch photographer educated in Holland and England, and presently based in Paris. He has been known primarily for his work as a photojournalist and his strong commitment to the ethical representation of the social and political, covering issues as diverse as the inter religious conflict in Northern Ireland, anti-semitism in France, and the tragic social consequences of children forcibly removed from their native La Reunion Island. His photographs have been published extensively throughout Europe and America, including front page coverage in some of the most highly respected broadsheets and magazines.

In recent years the scope of his work has broadened to encompass a new aesthetic where the expression of the social can be understood through images which have become more intimate and personal.
